Euro RSCG London CEO Russ Lidstone on their 'Lets Colour' Campaign
Russ Lidstone: "We won the business in November [2009] pitching against the UK's top agencies. [The] idea is content, that manifests itself in online, social media, TV, print experiential. We needed an idea and POV for the brand that could deliver against the vision of adding colour to people's lives.
The interesting thing about paint is that it's transformational. We delivered a content based idea. It's a multifaceted campaign and it's all driven by this notion of 'Let's Colour'. An almost childlike enthusiasm and commitment to adding colour to people's lives. It's a collective call to action; 'lets to do it together'. There's a simplicity to the idea, the language makes it feel like it didn't come out of an ad agency and on a global level the idea can be translated
