Adweek Readers Name Euro RSCG One of Top Ad Agencies and David Jones One of Top Executives of Decade
To wind up the 21st century's first decade, the US publication Adweek today released the results of its ‘Best of the 2000s’ survey. Euro RSCG Worldwide was named one of the top three advertising agencies of the decade (with 13% of the vote), alongside Crispin Porter + Bogusky (#1 with 18% of the vote) and Ogilvy and Mather (#2 with 13% of the vote and just 8 individual votes more than Euro RSCG). Other notable agencies in the list include BBDO which polled 4%, Wieden & Kennedy 4%, TBWA 3% and BBH 1%.
Havas Worldwide and Euro RSCG Worldwide Global CEO David Jones was named one of the top two executives of the decade, according to Adweek readers. Jones was named #2 ‘Agency Executive of the Decade’ with 20% of the vote only just behind Chuck Porter (#1) from Crispin, Porter + Bogusky who obtained 22% of the vote, and ahead of Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein (#3) from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners who received 14%. Other notable additions in the list include Dan Weiden who polled 5%, Jean-Marie Dru 1% and Howard Draft 1%.
The survey was conducted by Adweek and included more than 10,000 respondents across several categories. "This great achievement is a testament to the strength and momentum of our global network – a network that is creative, entrepreneurial, and has digital at the core and the exciting progress we have made in the second half of the decade," said David Jones.
